Various ways to reach Everest base camp as per your adventure holiday duration taking shorter or longer day journey, where most common, popular and accessible route is flying from Kathmandu to Lukla. Everest on May 29th, 1953, from this busy Sherpa town in Lukla where most adventure and treks begin and end. From Lukla walk takes you on a pleasant scenic trail following the Dudh Kosi a glacial river upstream visiting nice and lovely Sherpa villages with well-tended farm fields and terraces to enter into Sagarmatha National Park. Sagarmatha a name for Mount Everest in Nepalese, while the local Sherpa calls Chomolungma of Tibetan origin language, the park was designated in the list of World Heritage Sites since 1979 enriched with exotic flora and fauna where some of world highest mountains located. Walk slowly climbs to Namche Bazaar as the route takes you into nice forested areas of tall rhododendron, oaks, magnolia, pines and fir tree lines then reaching at famous Namche, a large village nearly size of a town with colorful houses that serves as lodges and resorts. At Namche where once a week in Saturday busy market held an interesting bazaar to witness the local Sherpa in their best traditional costumes similar to Tibetans culture of Mahayana Buddhism religion.

Spending extra days for acclimatization at Namche with a short hike, then the adventure continues on a nice trail overlooking superb views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse with beautiful peak Amadablam includes an array of a lesser mountain range. A climb of few hours to reach the scenic, magnificent spot at Tengboche also spelled as Thyangboche a place with impressive colorful monastery the whole place surrounded by a range of high mountains in the midst of serene woodland. From the base camp where climb takes you at the scenic rocky hilltop of Kalapathar on the tallest spot of the adventure at 5,643 m and18, 514 ft, rewards you with an alluring panorama of giant peaks with views of Mount Everest at close distance. After a great adventurous walk on the high Khumbu valley return route to Lukla on the same scenic trail allows you to enjoy more of beautiful surrounding scenery with cultural villages on the walk back to Lukla.
