 Lukla Airport (2860m):
Before starts the Everest base camp trek we must do short fly to Lukla from Kathmandu. Lukla airport is one of the popular and dangerous airport in the world. The Lukla airport is located at 2860m from sea level and the busiest domestic airport in Nepal. On big season more than 1000 passengers flew to Lukla and the small plane can carry only 17 passengers. When you landed at Lukla you can enjoy the mountains and fresh natural around Lukla. The Lukla is the main place while the Everest base camp trek initiated and ends at the same place. The Lukla is a major gateway of the Everest base camp trek and trekkers buy the Khumbu entrance ticket at Lukla. The Khumbu entrance fee is 2000 rupees each and then you can continue trek to Phakding village.

The Sagarmatha National Park is an old and most important park in Nepal. Sagarmatha national park was established in 1976. Sagarmatha National Park has provided the trekking permit and the Second day all are trekkers have to buy the walking permit around the Everest region. The trekking permit works for one month and 3000 rupees per permit fee. Along the way national park, local police and buffer zone army check the permit. 04. Tengboche Monastery (3870m):
The Tengboche Monastery is the most demandable and interesting place of the Everest base camp trek. Tengboche monastery is also known as Dawa Choling Gompa in the Tengboche village in Khumjung in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal. The Tengboche monastery situated at 3867 meters (12687ft0 from the sea level. The Monastery was built in 1916 by Lama Gulu with strong links to its mother monastery known as the Rongbuk monastery in Tibet. Tengboche monastery is the largest and old valuable monastery in the Khumbu region. In 1934 the monastery destroyed by an earthquake and was subsequently rebuilt in 1989. Again it was destroyed by fire and then rebuilt with the help of volunteers and international assistance. At Tengboche monastery is the best place to spend the unforgettable memory of evening worship with local monks. Every day after 4:00 pm will start the evening worship and if anyone interested then you can join the worship (Puja) inside the monastery. Tengboche is the terminus site of the sacred site’s trail protect of the Sagarmatha national park that attracts a large number of tourists for trekking and mountaineering. It is a circular trail that covers 10 monasteries in a clockwise direction terminating in the Tengboche monastery.
